Dale HawerchukApril 8, 1982 – Rookie Dale Hawerchuk picked up four assists as the Winnipeg Jets won 5-2 over the visiting St. Louis Blues, in Game 2 of the Norris Division Semi-Finals.

This marked the Jets’ first Stanley Cup playoff win in team history!

Sadly, it would be the only playoff victory for the Winnipeg Jets that season as they went on to lose the series 3 games to 1.

The St. Louis Blues continued on to play the Chicago Blackhawks in the Norris Division Finals, but lost the series 4-2.

Dale Hawerchuk did, however, go on to win the Calder trophy as the NHL’s top Rookie at the awards banquet later that summer.
