December 2, 1990: The Jets couldn’t contain Garth Butcher on this night as the Canucks blueliner piled up four assists in a 5-1 Vancouver victory over the Jets in Winnipeg.

December 2, 1989: The Jets lost dropped a 6-3 decision at home to the New York Islanders. Islanders Centerman, Brent Sutter, a goal and three assists in the victory.

December 2, 1984: All-Star Defenseman, Randy Carlyle, notched 4 assists in an offensive battle as the Jets managed a 8-6 victory at home versus the Calgary Flames.  Carlyle finished the season 51 points in 71 games and represented Winnipeg, along with Paul MacLean, as a member of the Campbell Conference All-Star team.

December 2, 1979: The Jets dropped a 4-0 decision the new York Islanders. The shutout marked the 12th time Islander goaltender Billy Smith had blanked an NHL opponent. Smith and the Islanders went on to win their first of four straight Stanley Cups that season.
