Teemu Selanne Winnipeg JetsDecember 23, 1993- Teemu Selanne notched the seventh hat trick of his career, and added one assist to lead the Jets to a 5-2 win over the Quebec Nordiques at the Winnipeg Arena.

December 23, 1983Dale Hawerchuk scored his 100th career NHL goal and added an assist as the Winnipeg Jets won 6-3 over the visiting St. Louis Blues at Winnipeg Arena. St. Louis forward, Guy Chouinard, scored the 200th goal of his career during the same game.

December 23, 1980 – The Winnipeg Jets beat the Colorado Rockies 5-4 to end their 30 game winless streak (0-23-7). It would be the worst ever NHL season for the Jets, giving up 400 Goals and earning just nine victories.

During the streak the Jets went through three coaches – Tommy McVie, Bill Sutherland, and Mike Smith.

Doug Smail led the scoring in the victory with a goal and two assists. Smail would only notch 6 more assists the entire season.
