The STREAK had to end sometime so it might as well ended last night. The Jets looked tired and flat as they were totally dominated by the Red Wings. It looked pretty good for the first minute as Bryan Little scored a gorgeous goal to open up the game. Then the Red Wings took control of the game int eh second period and scored 7 unanswered goals. It was ugly but now it needs to be forgotten. Time to prepare for the surprising Wild. Jets get dominated. Late night could have been a factor but its not an excuse. Cook would have loved it and Wellwood finds a home. These and other stories in today’s links.

Well if you are going to end a four game winning streak then you might as well do it in the most spectacular fashin imaginable. The jets drop one to the Wings 7-1. [Winnipeg Free Press]

Not to make excuses but the Jets did play friday night, get hed up at customs and didn’t make it into their beds until at least 4:30am. Add in you are playing against the Red Wings and thats a recipe for a blowout. [Winnipeg Sun]

Earl Cook would have loved that game. [Winnipeg Free Press]

Manitobans who play for the Wings can’t wait to have the chance to play in front of friends and family at the MTS Centre. [Winnipeg Free Press]

Pavelec’s numbers take a tumble. I’m not sure if I agree with Coach Noel’s decision to keep him in there. I would have pulled him after the 5th goal. [Winnipeg Free Press]
