The STREAK 2.0 lives on as the Jets down the Bruins in a very enjoyable game. Boston threw everything they had at the Jets only to be turned away all night. The Bruins came in without a loss in regulation over the past 15 games and it was the “lowly” Jets who were able to finally knock off the defending Stanley Cup Champs. Pavelec stands on his head. The Globe & Mail makes excuses for the Bruins. New rivalries and Tanner Glass won’t give up fighting. These and other stories in today’s links.

I think after that win the hockey world needs to take Winnipeg seriously even if the media won’t. All this article does is make excuses for the Bruins. [Globe & Mail]

With realignment comes new rivalries. [Winnipeg Free Press]

Winnipeg is starting to move up the standings. The Jets are now over .500 for the first time and are arguably one of the hottest teams in the NHL. [Winnipeg Free Press]

Tanner Glass will not change his game no matter how many articles come out in the New York Times about fighting. [Globe & Mail]

I really don’t think that the Bruins loss can be attributed to a “hangover”. I wish that people would give the Jets some credit rather than make excuses for other teams. I guess the Jets winning doesn’t fit the narrative that the media wants to promote. [Winnipeg Sun]

A Boston writer declares that Winnipeg is worthy of the NHL. Glad we took care of that. [NESN]
