Tough loss last night in a game the Jets probably should have won. They play teams they should beat and always fall short yet when they play a top team then they play lights out. The Jets were active at the trade deadline by picking up Grant Clitsome and then trading Johnny Oduya to the Blackhawks for picks. Bad loss for the Jets. Chevy was a seller. Oduya traded and Tanner Glass gets some cookies. These and other stories in today’s links.
I have no problem with the “build for the future” mentality. My only issue is when is the future? If you keep stock piling prospects and selling off assets when is this future everyone talks about? Future or not at some point you need to make moves that makes your team better in the present. [Winnipeg Free Press]

Oduya is dealt to the Hawks for a 2nd and 3rd round draft pick in 2013. I think this was a pretty good deal considering the Jets picked up Clitsome off of waivers. [Winnipeg Free Press]
