If the Jets win tonight they will be within 2pts of the Southeast lead. Lose and they will be 6pts out and honestly their hopes of the post season will become very slim. The Jets are battling a flu bug which kept Buff and Burmistrov away from a meeting with the Canadian Ambassador, Gary Doer. I’m sure many were hoping for a Tim Thomas like scandal but alas it was just a stomach bug and not right wing ideals that kept the Jets away. Big game tonight. Kane gives back. The Trade deadline makes some Jets nervous and the time is now. These and other stories in today’s links.

This by far the most important road trip of the season. A win tonight and the jets are within two of the Southeast Division lead, which is probably their best shot at making the playoffs. [Winnipeg Free Press]

The Jets Newest sniper Chris Thorburn thinks that they should just keep the whole team together at the trade deadline. Thanks Chris, I’m sure Chevy will listen to you. [Winnipeg Free Press]
