| September 29, 2011 | 0 Comments

The Winnipeg Jets started off slow, but managed to put together a 3-1 vicotry over the Carolina Hurricanes at the MTS Centre on Wednesday night.

Evander Kane led the way with two goals, while Blake Wheeler potted the other.  Chris Mason played well in goal for the Jets, making 17 saves. Mason was beaten only once by way of a Tim Brent breakaway.

In good news, the Jets poured 38 shots on goal during the game and controlled the tempo and pace for the most part.  Evander Kane could not praise the support shown by hometown crowd enough following the game. Many players have echoed that sentiment, highlighting the stark contrast between the atmosphere in Winnipeg versus that of Atlanta.
